Glastonbury 2004
I have finally come down from what has been one of the coolest events of my life
The atmosphere was amazing. There was no sign of trouble and everyone was so chilled out
From Thursday when we got there (of course in the p****** rain) you could sense something. We managed to get our tent up near Green fields and made camp. After drying off in the sunshine we then just relaxed for a while. this was obviously helped by the guy selling cheap 'organic' brownies..Oh my god..what a crazy afternoon that was
We watched the footie and again the atmosphere was electric..50,000+ at least cheering on the boys.
As for the music itself..Oasis were ok..nothing special. The Killers at the new tent were outstanding. Joss Stone looked good,Black eyed Peas got jeered for mentioning their homeland.Guess anything U.S. is a big no no..By far the best was Muse. I managed to get right at the front and from that point became part of the crowd. I could not move independently and had the hold on...but it was well worth it.
There was also so much to do as well. Go to the circus for a while, chill out drinking burmese tea, bet on naked mud wrestling, get a campfire going near the sacred stones and watch the sunrise....all in all an amazing place
Peace out Brother. Peace out.
